Executive Director
Overview
The Executive Director is a full-time paid position appointed by the Board of Directors. He or she functions under the direction of the Board Chair or his or her appointee to oversee HRC operations, represent the organization to external stakeholders, supervise staff, direct, and deliver program services to participants, and attend to day-to-day administrative tasks.
Specific responsibilities:

Responsible for the leadership and administration of all program operations.

Directly supervise other program staff.

Responsible for the fiscal management of the programs, including management of revenue, expenses, and adhering to budgeted guidelines.

Understand and manage funding agreements, contracts and deliverables.

Ensure that billings and reimbursement requests are submitted accurately and on time.

Assist in the development of written job descriptions for all staff, reviewing of credentials, participating in hiring of staff, and delineation and assignment of staff duties.

Lead and participate in staff orientation and staff education activities.

Positively promote organizational culture to all staff, program participants, and the community.

Development, oversight and management of relationships with all referral sources and external stakeholders.

Spend approximately 50% of time providing Peer Recovery Coach services

Provide oversight for HRC website, Facebook page and other social media.

Understands local Recovery-Oriented System of Care (ROSC) and participates in countywide ROSC meetings to represent the voice of recovery, needs and gaps (i.e. Sequential Intercept mapping, County and CFBHN behavioral health meetings.)

Understands the local service delivery and self-help system for behavioral health.

Attends all Board and committee meetings.

Performs such other duties as the Chair may assign from time to time.

Education and/or Experience

At least 18 years of age

Must provide proof of a High School Diploma or a GED
-
Must self-identify as a person in long-term recovery from the effects of a behavioral health disorder (mental health and/or substance use disorder) for a period of two years or more

Must be able to pass DCF level II criminal background screening.

Must have valid Florida Drivers License and own transportation.

Must be a certified Peer Recovery Specialist or able to obtain certification within one year of employment.
